Explore the Village by taking the historic walk around Yungaburra. The heart of the village, established in 1890,has been listed by the National Trust of Queensland.
There are several excellent restaurants in which to dine - all within a few minutes walk from your accommodation. Peterson Creek is just a few minutes walk away - an easy place to see platypus. The walkway follows the creek to a delightful swimming place called Frawley's Pool.
Yungaburra is located only one and half hour's drive from Cairns, in the heart of the scenic Atherton Tablelands and central to the world Heritage Wet Topics rainforest, the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.
You will be amazed at just how close you can get to Australia's awesome aerial predators. See owls, falcons and eagles flying free - the sky's the limit! Learn about their everyday and unusual behaviours, and the local environments in which they live. Mark's interactive presentation allows visitors to be a part of the show, not just part of the audience. He always has a spare glove in his pocket and is more than happy for you to have a go at being hands-on.
