BABY SALTIES!!

BABY SALTIES!!

By FNQ Nature Tours

05 Apr 2018

We started today's tour with a bang, the first of our known crocodile nests has been successful with Lizzy spotted carrying her tiny babies down to the water! Ohh my goodness what a heart stopping moment to witness.

We had the opportunity to observe 4 hatchlings while on our morning cruise with a total of 6 spotted so far. Not a big clutch but we'll know more tomorrow morning! Stay tuned. Sorry for the photo quality, Mum has them very well protected :) Note one baby hatching out of the egg right in view!!

We had THE BEST day trip to Mossman Gorge and the Daintree River with James! We spotted some great wildlife, and had a great lunch in an amazing location! The tour was wonderfully organised and James was an amazing host/tour guide! Playing the Cow Game as we drove from place to place was a memory I'll cherish forever! The entire day exceeded my wildest dreams, and James' easy-going demeanor made it feel like we were cruising around with one of our long-time friends. His knowledge of the area and the wildlife was like icing on an already delicious cake! James, you're freaking amazing and I can't wait to come back!

James is an amazing tour guide. His relaxed and friendly nature; mixed with his knowledge about wildlife and the rainforest, makes for a perfect tour of the Daintree and Mossman Gorge. A small group makes the experience intimate and more time is spent observing, rather than waiting for people to hop on and off a bus. It also meant that James could stop and point out interesting things and take us to the best locations. This is one tour I’d recommend to anyone. Awesome day!!
