Food Trail Tours Reviews

I learn by doing. This tour took me right up close and was very enjoyable. This is the tour if you want to know more about local food. The tablelands are the local breadbasket. Warwick is affable, knowledgeable and organized. He graciously answered my questions on a wide range of topics all through the day. There many varied stops along the way. The fish and prawn lunch was the best I have had after two months (yes 2 months) in Cairns.

We chose the tour not knowing what to expect, but thought it would be a bit different than some of the other tours we had done -- we were very happy with our choice! it was much more than just a food/wine tour. The tour took us through a variety of regions (rainforest, Atherton food table, small towns) which really demonstrates the diversity of the Australian ecosystem; all of which was done within the course of a single day. Warwick, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and engaging. He gave us a great account of the history of the area and the development of the environment as well as food industries. The stops were well planned, with plenty of time to explore. The food based activities were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the macadamia nut farm. Overall, we are very happy that we chose this tour.
